‘I don’t want to be making food from scratch for the lunch box every couple of days,’ Rachael told Kidspot.

‘My kids need variety and this prep offers a way to easily provide that to them while saving money and being easy on me.’

She continued: ‘I calculated I spent about $75 on the ingredients, which means about 31 cents per item. I think that’s really cheap.’

In addition to the prepared food, fresh snacks such as fruit and boiled eggs would also be placed into the lunch boxes to ensure the children have enough nutrients throughout the day
