Marcel Somerville’s pregnant fiancée Rebecca Vieira revealed that her waters have broken.

Just days ago the beauty told how she’d been ‘in the early stages of labour’ since Monday morning, after reaching her due date.

However, taking to Instagram stories on Thursday, the partner of the Love Island star, 35, gave an update to fans indicating that their baby boy is on his way.

Earlier in the day, Rebecca told how she was in the ‘worst pain ever’ the previous night after having ‘strong contractions’ and ‘lightening crutch’.

She then told how after bouncing on her pregnancy ball, she managed to go back to sleep, with the pains soon dying down the next day.

Later in the day, she filmed herself in the car as the couple drove home from the hospital following a ‘successful sweep’ – which involves a midwife or doctor sweeping their finger around the cervix during an internal examination to attempt to separate the membranes of the amniotic sac surrounding baby to bring on labour.

Sharing a sweet black and white photo of herself with her Love Island beau, Rebecca wrote: ‘I’ve been in the early stages of labour since yesterday morning, contractions are still quite far apart and inconsistent but my midwife is coming to check me today to see if I’ve dilated and also do a sweep if needed.’

Rebecca continued: ‘Thank you for all your messages baby will soon be making his grand appearance, I’ve just been trying to rest and preserve my energy.’

The delighted couple shared the news hours after Marcel, 35, took Rebecca ‘curb walking’ – with one foot on the kerb and the other on the road – to induce labour.

After a trip to see the midwife, Rebecca told her Instagram followers: ‘[The midwives] measure in fifths, so the baby is four-fifths down – and when he gets to five fifths, I go into labour. So I’m very excited!

‘Where his shoulders are is where I thought his head was, so he’s actually a lot lower than I thought he was. But other than that, everything’s fine.’

Hours earlier, Marcel took to his own Instagram account to share footage of himself enjoying a morning of ‘curb walking’ with Rebecca.

He said: ‘So me and Bex have gone out for a walk this morning, trying to get little man into action. She’s doing a bit of curb walking right now.’

The blonde and the reality star announced they were expecting their first child in July 2020, with loved-up Marcel popping the question to his partner a month later.

In a video shared to social media, the artist dropped to one knee after they pulled poppers which released blue confetti, leaving Rebecca, who said yes, in tears of joy.
