‘We’re divorced!’ Brendan Fevola slams fan for wishing him and ex-wife Alex a happy anniversary

Brendan Fevola joked about his complicated personal life in a post on Instagram on Thursday.

The 39-year-old former footballer shared a screenshot of an Instagram post wishing him and his ex-wife, Alex Fevola, a happy wedding anniversary.

‘When you get sent this on your wedding anniversary but you’re divorced,’ he captioned the post, adding a series of crying-while-laughing emojis.

Brendan and Alex married in 2005 and they divorced in 2014.

But their separation was short-lived, with the couple reuniting later that same year, before getting engaged in 2016.

He also shared the post from account Married Biography to his Instagram Story and captioned it: ‘Thanks, but we’re divorced’. 

The picture in the post featured Brendan and Alex at the finale of the 2016 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where he was crowned the winner. 

Alex looked happy as she placed her arm around Brendan who was sporting the winning crown.   

The couple officially divorced in 2014 after nine years of marriage and in 2016 Brendan confirmed that the pair had rekindled their relationship while on the Channel 10 series. 

Shortly after the show wrapped, Brendan decided to propose to Alex again in front of their three children, including Alex’s older daughter Mia from a previous relationship, and their kids Leni and Lulu.   

At the time, Brendan told radio host Dave Thorton on the Fifi and Dave show: ‘I was a bit nervous Dave, I didn’t think she’d say yes.’

‘Because we’ve been married before and obviously been divorced. It was really beautiful with the kids there.’

While the couple have been engaged for several years now, they are yet to re-marry.
