Celebrities marked their children’s first day back to the classroom on Instagram as they returned to education on Monday in the first step of Britain’s road map out of the coronavirus lockdown after two months of home-learning.
Rochelle Humes led the stars sharing their school runs on Monday, admitting her experience was ‘harder than I anticipated’ as she broke down in tears when her daughter Alaia-Mai, seven, cried: ‘I’m worried I’m going to miss you’.
Meanwhile, Katie Price uploaded beaming snaps of her son Jett, seven, and daughter Bunny, six, posing in uniform before they entered the school gates.

The This Morning star, 31, who also shares Valentina Raine, three, and Blake Hampton, four months, with husband Marvin, 35, sat in her car as she explained why she became emotional after her eldest child went to school.
Urging fellow parents to ‘prepare themselves’, a fresh-faced Rochelle said: ‘So I just dropped her off at school and that was harder than I actually anticipated.
‘If you haven’t done the school run yet, prepare yourselves. She was happy and excited but said, ”I’m worried I’m going to miss you.” I said, ”are you joking, you’re doing to be back with your favourite people!”
‘I didn’t make a big deal out of it… and when we got to the gates she started crying, and obviously I didn’t. I told her, ”you’re going to have the best day, this is amazing”. And then she shut the door I just called my mum and cried to her.’

Admitting she initially couldn’t wait until the homeschooling period was over, the TV star added: ‘It’s so weird because they’ve been waiting for this day for so long. I’m so desperate for homeschooling to be over and for them to have normality, but that was harder than I thought it was going to be.’
Mother-of-five Katie, 42, posted a cute image of her youngest children – who she co-parents with her third ex-husband Kieran Hayler, 33.

Joining in on the photos was Danielle Lloyd, who updated her platform with a snap of three out of her four sons – Archie, 10, Harry, nine, George, six.
The former Miss England, 37, wrote: ‘Back to school. my beautiful boys can’t wait to go back and see their friends.. it’s been so hard trying to home school but well done to all the parents we got through it. #backtoschool #homeschooling #grateful.’ (sic)
Parents were initially forced to homeschool their children last March, when the country entered its first Covid lockdown.
Most of Britain’s primary schools have reopened their doors, while secondary school students have headed back in stages to ensure Covid tests can be carried out.
Three Covid tests will be conducted in school as a union boss says on-site testing facilities look like ‘field hospitals’. At-home testing will be in place from then on, and students will also need to wear masks in class for ‘weeks’.

But Covid tests – which involve swabs of the nose and throat – are voluntary, with teachers describing the struggle of getting parental consent.
Mask critics, including parents and MPs, say the rules will impact students’ learning, and ministers have vowed to revisit the face covering policy at the end of this month.
The return to classrooms will no doubt come as a major relief for British students who have been forced to learn from home since December due to Covid lockdown rules.
It forms part of the Prime Minister’s ultra-cautious ‘roadmap’ out of lockdown unveiled last month, which put schools front and centre.
