Halle Berry celebrates National Fitness Day by hitting the heavy bag and saying boxing is her ‘favorite way to stay fit’

Halle Berry is spending her Sunday by throwing some hands, practicing her favorite way to ‘stay fit’ on National Fitness Day.

The 54-year-old actress took to Instagram on Sunday by sharing a few snaps of her hitting the heavy bag.

She also revealed that boxing is her ‘favorite’ way to stay in shape, while showing off her toned body.

‘I hear it’s #NationalFitnessDay,’ Berry said, while posting two boxing glove emojis in her caption, while wearing black stretch pants, black shoes, a halter top exposing her toned midriff and boxing gloves.

‘This is my favorite way to stay fit. What’s yours?’ she added in her post, while a number of celebs chimed in.

Mario Lopez added, ‘That’s wassup!’ while Elise Neal added three fire emojis in a comment.

The actress and filmmaker also responded to a comment about her directorial debut Bruised, and when fans can expect to see it.

A fan named @Grothanator asked, ‘Where’s Bruised? Looking forward to it,’ while another fan @camcon_official chimed in to ask the same question.

‘Coming this fall on netflix! can’t wait to share it with you!’ Berry said, along with a singular heart emoji.

Bruised follows disgraced mixed martial arts fighter Jackie Justice (Berry), who is trying to regain custody of her six-year-old son.

She is also trying to mount a comeback by facing one of the mixed martial  arts world’s most devastating rising stars.

Berry directs and produces from a script by Michelle Rosenfarb with Shamier Anderson, Adan Canto and Stephen McKinley Henderson also starring.

The film had its world premiere at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival last September, with Netflix picking up the rights in an eight-figure deal just before the premiere.

The actress will also star in director Roland Emmerich’s big-budget disaster movie Moonfall with Patrick Wilson, Michael Pena and Donald Sutherland.

She is also attached to star in writer-director Matt Charman’s sci-fi adventure The Mothership about a woman who discovers an extraterrestrial object underneath her farm, one year after her husband mysteriously disappeared.
