Sonia Kruger hits back at claims Channel Seven edits ‘villains’ on Big Brother and insists viewers will see reality star’s ‘real personalities’ on the new season

Big Brother Australia host Sonia Kruger has hit back at claims Channel Seven edits ‘villains’ on the show.

On Monday, the 55-year-old told The Courier Mail that editing techniques are not to blame for negative portrayals.

‘It’s a really funny, outdated view that we somehow edit them into villains or heroes,’ she said.

She continued: ‘What happens is it’s a bit like the layers of an onion that get peeled away and then the real person is revealed.’

Sonia went on to say footage is only edited to speed up episodes because there is so much content.

She explained: ‘Obviously it’s edited but essentially to try and make sure the episode are pacy. There’s an eviction every episode this year so there’s a lot to get through.’
