Dr. Dre DENIES Nicole Young’s claims of abuse, alleges they are to squeeze money out of him

Dr. Dre is denying abuse claims from his estranged wife Nicole Young and alleges that she is using them as a strategy to get out of the prenup he insists is still in place.

The 56-year-old hip-hop mogul filed new legal documents in his already nasty divorce with the 51-year-old mother-of-two as he claims that her abuse allegations are false according to a Wednesday report from TMZ.

The Still D.R.E. hitmaker – full name Andre Romelle Young – also accused Nicole of bringing up abuse claims in an attempt to squeeze money out of him as there is $1billion on the line.

As Dre was hospitalized for a brain aneurysm in January, he also believes that the claims are making the split stressful for him.

The Beats By Dre founder also alleges that Nicole did not raise the allegations until after the divorce filing was made and had realized that the prenup would prevent her from staking a claim to half of his wealth.

The documents also say that Dre claims Nicole’s allegations are not only false but also ‘appalling.’

He also denies her allegations that he had abused her even before they got married including the night before their actual wedding.

Nicole also had claimed that he ‘forced’ her to sign the prenup which the rapper also denies.

This has already been one of the most contentious celebrity divorces in recent memory as last month Dre requested for a judge to award him ‘single status.’

The music mogul ‘s attorney Laura Wasser had filed court documents ‘requesting a bifurcation of Dre’s divorce,’ which would declare himself and Young ‘single,’ as reported by TMZ on Wednesday.

‘Dre says his divorce from his estranged wife, Nicole Young, has gotten to the point of no return,’ the court documents read.

Dr. Dre noted that his estranged wife’s recent ‘false allegations of domestic violence’ have left their relationship beyond repair.

He also alleged in the court docs that he has ‘been trying to settle the divorce with Nicole since she filed in June 2020,’ but claimed she is purposely ‘dragging her feet.’

Wednesday’s filing comes just days after a judge denied a restraining order filed by Young against her estranged husband, after a song released by the rapper prompted her to fear for her safety.

Nicole requested the emergency domestic violence restraining order against her ex, 56,  after he released a song last month in which he referred to her as a ‘greedy b*tch’ and a ‘perjurer’, according to TMZ.

Young claims that while none of this is new, she is now concerned for her safety after the release of the song, and alleges ‘he has upped the ante and is now outright threatening me to keep my mouth shut or else.’

Dre discusses having a health crisis in the newly released song, which is a collaboration with KXNG Crooked and DJ Silk.

‘I see you trying to f*** me while I’m in surgery, in ICU death bed on some money s***,’ he raps. ‘Greedy b****, take a pic, girl you know how money get,’ it is also sung.

Despite Young believing the new song and her previous allegations of spousal support warranted the order, the judge ultimately denied her request due to ‘insufficient evidence.’

Responding to her allegations, Dre insisted the only time he had seen Young since the divorce filing was when she visited him in the hospital following his brain aneurysm in January 2021.

Aside from that, Dre insists he has had no contact with her, and has denied all her allegations of abuse.

Since she came forward with her claims, he ‘realized he had no idea who the woman he was married to was and he wanted nothing to do with her.’

Ever since Nicole filed for divorce in June last year, their split has become more and more contentious.

In October, Dre accused his wife of criminal conduct in ’embezzling’ more than $350,000 from one of their bank accounts.

In January DailyMail.com revealed that Nicole filed court documents accusing Dre of violent and emotional abuse during their 24-year marriage.

The music tycoon held a gun to her head, punched her in the face and slammed her against a wall, lifting her off her feet by her neck, she declared.

Shortly after her scathing declaration to the court, Nicole’s legal team huddled with Dr Dre’s lawyers and the end result was that Dre – reportedly still in his hospital bed after suffering a brain aneurysm – signed an agreement to pay Nicole a lump sum of $2million in temporary support till April.

Dre had been paying Nicole $293,000 a month in support, but she is asking the court to force him to pay her almost $2million a month, plus another $5million for attorney fees.

Nicole – who claimed in legal documents that Dre has more than $260 million on hand in cash and Apple stocks – contends that she has a right to continue the lavish lifestyle she had as Mrs. Andre Young – which she said cost around $2.3million per month.

Michel’le, who dated Dre in the 1990s, has repeatedly accused him of physical abuse which he denied in 2016 while threatening suit over a Lifetime movie about the subject. TV host Dee Barnes has also written that he beat her up at a party in 1991.
