Zac Efron jokes about wild mushrooms while filming his Netflix series Down to Earth… after hitting himself in the face with a rake in a funny prank

Zac Efron hit himself in the face with a rake a few days ago while filming his Netflix docu-series Down to Earth in Australia.

But on Tuesday, the 33-year-old actor was having a less eventful (and less painful) time while filming the adventure program in rural Victoria.

Zac shared a photo on Instagram of himself checking out wild mushrooms as he spoke to an expert on the subject.

The Hollywood heart-throb listened intently to the expert as they crouched over several red and white mushrooms.

‘Found a power up,’ he wrote in the caption, referencing the videogame Mario Kart.

It comes just day after Zac went viral by hitting himself in the face with a rake, in a video which later turned out to be a prank.

The Baywatch star was walking through a kitchen garden when he stepped on the garden tool and it flew right into his face.

He then yelped in pain and dropped to the ground.

However, fans needn’t have worried as it seems Zac was only kidding around.

‘Who left the rake here?’ he captioned the clip, which he shared with his 45 million followers on Instagram.

Hours earlier, Zac had showed off his ripped abs while performing a number of crunches in order to keep in shape on the road.

The High School Musical star worked up a sweat on a gym floor as he honed his Adonis-like physique.

It comes after a well-placed source revealed that Zac is preparing to fly to North America in May with his Australian girlfriend, Vanessa Valladares.

He will shoot the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King novel Firestarter in Canada.

Zac signed on for the sci-fi horror flick in September last year, and will spend about eight weeks filming in Canada before returning to Australia.
