Married At First Sight’s Beck Zemek reveals the ‘red flags’ about husband Jake Edwards viewers DIDN’T see on television

Beck Zemek’s cruel and dismissive attitude towards her husband Jake Edwards has earned her the ‘villain’ label on this year’s season of Married At First Sight.
But on Tuesday, the Perth business manager, 27, revealed there were many ‘red flags’ about Jake’s behaviour that weren’t shown on television.
‘Jake is great but there is one quality that is a non-negotiable in any relationship that keeps happening,’ Beck told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘It really just did come down to where my values are and I just really didn’t enjoy or appreciate some of the things that were happening resulting in confrontation with me,’ she added.
Radio host Kyle Sandilands then asked Beck to be more specific about why she was having problems with Jake, but she was reluctant to answer.
‘Are you saying there may be legal reasons why we aren’t seeing this stuff?’ he asked, to which she replied: ‘Potentially… I feel that.’

Rebecca also revealed the real reason why her mother, Theresa, was so hostile towards Jake during Monday’s episode.
During a Zoom call with their families, Theresa slammed Jake’s behaviour as ‘destructive’ – but the reason for her disapproval wasn’t made clear.
‘That’s a big red flag for me, I’m sorry. I’m hearing you’re going out with the boys. Has that destructive behaviour continued?’ she said angrily.

Beck told The Kyle and Jackie O Show: ‘All is not what it seems. When my mum is talking about red flags, she isn’t talking about being objectified.’
This reference to being ‘objectified’ was alluding to how Jake had supposedly looked at his wife in a lewd manner on their wedding day.
‘That’s just how the conversation started and then we moved on to a commitment ceremony and she got to see an unedited version,’ Beck added.
‘And she was not impressed at all, and I’m not either.’
