Emily Atack stressed the importance of highlighting ‘sexual harassment blind spots’ on social media.

The Celebrity Juice star, 31, reflected on how the abuse she’s received ‘had a huge impact on her mental health’ during Monday’s Loose Women

While touching on ‘the new culture of trolling’, the actress also teased her upcoming comedy show with panellist Judi Love and detailed how she lost a stone in lockdown.

On tackling online bullying, the comedian said: ‘This is something I’ve been dying to talk about for a really long time, it’s about finding the right moment and feeling ready to. 

‘We live our lives online now and there’s this new culture, especially young people, but also older people too, anybody can say anything to anybody.

‘Trolling is one thing, but what I’m really noticing is this sexual harassment blind spot that’s really out of control, it’s had a huge impact on my mental health.

‘I think we’re seeing the impact of social media and what it has on people, highlighting this sexual harassment blind spot is really important to me… people think they can get away with it online.’

The impressionist recently recalled the petrifying moment she was followed by a man who hurled sexual abuse at her as she walked home at night.

In UNILAD’s Minutes With series, Emily spoke of how rising to fame on The Inbetweeners as the ‘Charlotte Big Jugs’ girl has led to years of unwanted attention. 

Remembering the incident, she said she was ‘frightened’ when the man confronted her and persisted in making advances and derogatory comments as she walked home from the pub.

Elsewhere in her TV appearance, the I’m A Celeb star went on to discuss the concept of her new chat series with presenter Judi, 40, sharing: ‘We’re sat watching VTs and Stacey Dooley is taking four people around a house.

‘We have to decide out of all four of them which is telling the truth and which is lying. They’re good actors, good liars! It’s one of those things, you think as soon as you see the guy at the beginning and you think oh I know and then it changes throughout.’

On working with the hilarious broadcaster, she added: ‘It was so fun I really felt there was a sense of appreciation for a lot of us it was the first time we’d left the house, only to go into another one. 

‘We had a gorgeous array of snacks that Judi and I devoured quite quickly. It’s one of those thing you think you’ll be very good at, it was really hard! 

‘I’ve been dying to say this, Judi Love is one of the most wonderful, hilarious, beautiful women I’ve ever met in my life. She’s one of those people who lifts everybody. She’s so hilarious and kind, I’m chuffed to say she’s my mate now.’

The media personality later explained how she adopted a healthier lifestyle during the coronavirus pandemic.

The blonde said: ‘In the first lockdown, I drank like a fish, we didn’t know what to do or how to nail lockdown.

‘Instead of buying a new art making kit I bought a new cocktail set, I did spend the first lockdown just getting very drunk.

‘It was this lockdown I thought, ”OK, we don’t know how long we are going to be in this for so I decided to make healthier decisions.” 

‘I have a step machine, I worked out I spent more time stepping over it. I think this lockdown I’ve made more conscious healthier decisions to have a clear head. I still love a drink.’
