Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli gets upstaged by another ‘coolest dad’ at his son Theordore’s school

Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli gets upstaged by another parent at his son’s school – and has ‘coolest dad’ title revoked

Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli takes being the ‘cool dad’ at his six-year-old son’s school very seriously.

But on Wednesday, the radio host revealed his title was revoked when he was upstaged by another parent during the ‘show and tell’ of Theodore’s class.

Speaking on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa, the 41-year-old said he had scored ‘cool tickets’ with his son’s peers after winning a Guinness World Record title for the longest Hot Wheels track.

Letting it all out: Nova radio host Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli (pictured), 41, has revealed he has been revoked of the ‘cool dad’ title at his six-year-old son’s school, after another parent upstaged him at ‘show and tell’

He had also organised a personalised message from Lego Masters Australia host Hamish Blake to the class, which would have gone hand-in-hand with the LEGO book his son, ‘Ted’, chose to present as part of an assignment.

But, neither idea was a match for what the latest ‘cool dad’ brought forward, after turning up to drop his child off in an iconic sports car.

‘I’m stacking up these cool tickets,’ Wippa explained. ‘Then a dad turns up the other day… to pick up his kid in a DeLorean – the Back To The Future car.

‘The teacher, who stands down the bottom on the mega phone and calls the kids down when their parent arrives…[Starts saying:] “All kids down here now. All kids down here now”.

Nice try: Despite 'stacking up these cool tickets', Wippa's efforts to show off at his son's 'show and tell' was no match for another father turning up to school to drop his child off in a DeLorean - Dr. Emmett 'Doc' Brown's car from movie Back To The Future (pictured)

‘As he arrives, the door lifts up like Back To The Future.’

Wippa went onto explain the father was, however, not dressed like Dr. Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown – but the lack-of-detail did not take away from how epic the moment was.

‘Luckily, they didn’t know the show that well, but they knew it was the Back To The Future car, guys. They knew it was the time machine,’ he said. ‘Up until two moments ago, I was the coolest dad on campus…’

‘You just go and rent the Batmobile. How old’s Ted? Six. As if he’s even seen Back To The Future. Rock up in the Batmobile,’ Sarah exclaimed.

Wippa responded: ‘There was an article written the other day where you can buy the Batmobile for $40,000 and I’m thinking ‘”Geeze, Batman… That’s not a good investment”.’
