‘A sad day but the best memories!’: Rebekah Vardy is lifted into the air by Andy Buchanan as they mark last day of rehearsals ahead of Dancing On Ice final


 She bowed out of the Dancing On Ice competition just before the semi-finals. 

And Rebekah Vardy took to Instagram on Thursday to mark the last day of rehearsals with her skate partner Andy Buchanan. 

In the video, the pair practised a complicated lift, which will presumably be part of a group show dance for Sunday’s grande finale.

Rebekah, 39, appeared in high spirits as she swirled around and was lifted into the air by Andy as they rehearsed at Nottingham Arena. 

She captioned the post: ‘Our last @dancingonice training session ever at Nottingham Arena today @andybuchanan2. A sad day but the best memories!’ 

To which Andy replied: ‘Today was so much fun!!!! You’re the best.’

In another video, where Rebekah practised a different lift, she wrote: ‘I’ll be back on the ice with my kids as soon as rinks open again. I encourage anyone who has never tried skating to give it a go & you’ll fall in love with the freedom of it. Your mind & body will thank you for it.’

Faye Brookes, Sonny Jay and Colin Jackson will go head-to-head in Sunday’s finale where one will ultimately be crowned winner. 

Rebekah was eliminated from the competition just days before the semi-final after having lost out against rapper Lady Leshurr, 32, who had survived her third skate off.

Loved it: When asked by host Holly Willoughby how she's enjoyed her experience, Rebekah replied: 'It's been absolutely incredible, I've loved every moment of it.'

Following her skate-off performance, in which she made some viable mistakes, she was heard telling pro partner Andy Buchanan ‘I screwed up’, before then telling the panel: ‘That was awful!’

When asked by host Holly Willoughby how she’s enjoyed her experience, Rebekah replied: ‘It’s been absolutely incredible, I’ve loved every moment of it.’  

She continued: ‘But you know these things happen and I’ve had a great time and thank you [Andy] so much for teaching me.’

The beauty added that though she wasn’t ready to leave the competition, she would ‘definitely’ keep skating as he kids are ‘desperate’ to get on the ice.     

The Dancing on Ice final starts on ITV at 6pm.
