Samantha Armytage’s resignation from Sunrise on Monday took many by surprise.
But for Jackie ‘O’ Henderson it was something she already saw coming – thanks to her psychic sense.
After the announcement, the 46-year-old radio star said: ‘So the question is, when she was in here and I was badgering her – did she already know or did I plant the seed? Or did I have a psychic premonition?’

She recalled asking the breakfast TV host, 44, on her thoughts about leaving the ratings winning Channel Seven program when the TV star spoke to Jackie and her co-host Kyle Sandilands back in January.
Audio from that January conversation was played on air, and at the time Jackie told Samantha that she was worried that she would give up hosting Sunrise.
But Samantha seemingly deflected the suggestion by saying ‘well, I’m under contract so I can’t. But I’m very happy with my job.’

Jackie, who in hindsight was digging into her psychic ability, added: ‘I get the feeling you’re going to give this up next contract or something.’
After playing the audio, Kyle praised Jackie, saying: ‘I’m telling you, you’re psychic radar was on fire that day, you knew!’

She explained she was leaving of her own choosing, and was looking forward to life away from the spotlight after a ‘bittersweet’ year that included the death of her mother, Libby, and her marriage to businessman Richard Lavender.
‘I want to step out of this public world for a while and take some time and calm things down, enjoy a bit of slow living, and spend some time with my precious family, my husband and [dog] Banjo.
‘I go out of this job at a time of my own choosing and on top of the ratings, which not many people on television can say they do.
