Last month, Olsen’s divorce was granted, nine months after their five-year marriage came to an end.

The former couple’s settlement was signed off by a judge at the New York Supreme Court on Monday, January 25, US Weekly first reported.

The French banker, 51 – the half-brother of Nicolas Sarkozy, the former  President of France – agreed a divorce settlement during a virtual hearing on January 13.

Michael Mosberg, attorney for father-of-two Sarkozy, told the New York Supreme Court at that earlier hearing ‘the deal is now done’.

Nancy Chemtob, who represents Olsen, said that ‘all issues are resolved’ but no details were given to the court.

Olsen, who runs her fashion line The Row with twin sister Ashley Olsen, reportedly has an ‘ironclad prenup’ meaning her fortune estimated to be around $250m is safe whatever happens during the split from Sarkozy.

During the hearing earlier this month Mosberg told the judge: ‘As of this morning we reached a final agreement. We just need to revise that agreement and get it to you’.

Judge Sattler asked Chemtob if that was correct and she said: ‘We’ve been working very hard and we do have a settlement and will be able to get it signed…all issues are resolved.’

The judge, who had given both parties numerous adjournments on the case, said, ‘I hope that’s the case’.

But she added: ‘Until I see the proof I’m going to hold your feet to the fire a bit.’

She said: ‘I do trust and believe this is happening however I’m going to keep control of the case to make sure this gets done and we get them divorced.’
