Rob Mills is set to make a SHOCK return to Neighbours… after his character famously drowned

Former Neighbours star Rob Mills is set to make a shock return to the long-running series.

According to a report by The Herald Sun, the 38-year-old, who portrayed Finn Kelly, will reprise his role from March 2, after his character famously drowned.

‘It’s just a short resurrection, no witchcraft involved,’ he told the publication.

He then added: ‘It was so good, the way it was written and shot. Finn has some unfinished business.’

Rob’s comeback will be linked Susan Kennedy, played by Jackie Woodburne, who is currently writing a book on the show.

While the Ms Vanity hitmaker initially found it odd to be back in the fictional suburb of Erinsborough, he found himself adjusting in no time.

‘It was weird to be back on set but also good to see their happy faces and I love working with the cast and crew,’ said Rob.

‘I’m just rapt they have continued filming the whole way through. I love that my character has never really left and it has haunted people.’

Aside from his Neighbours gig, Rob will next be seen in Chess The Musical.

He will star alongside former Neighbours alum Natalie Bassingthwaighte and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Paulini.

Rob gained instant fame when he made top five of Australian Idol back in 2003.

Now with the hit show scheduled to return in 2022, Rob revealed he would love to host the new series.

‘I think any platform that showcases Australian talent is a great show,’ the performer told The Daily Telegraph in November.

Rob went on to criticise Australian radio stations for their lacklustre support of local talent.

‘To be honest, I think our radio stations do a horrible job of promoting Australian artists – do you know what time they play Australian music? From midnight to 6am,’ he said.
