Police probe Paul Scholes AGAIN over lockdown ‘breach’ as he posts Instagram video of hike with four mates on Saddleworth Moor

- That property has twice this year been the subject of complaints over parties
Paul Scholes appears to have fallen foul of coronavirus rules yet again by taking a hike on Saddleworth Moor with four friends.
The 46-year-old former Manchester United ace was outed by his own Instagram video which showed his mates stopping for tea and snacks on a hilltop overlooking the Dovestone Reservoir.
The government guidance says you can exercise once a day in your local area and only with others if you either live with them or if you are legally allowed to form a support bubble.
The reservoir is more than six miles from Oldham where Scholes owns a £3.5 million mansion which has already been the focus of complaints over parties thrown by the former midfielder and his adult children.

The clip uploaded to Scholes’ Instagram stories on Friday afternoon shows the five men taking in the scenery and relaxing at the top of a hill overlooking Dovestone Reservoir which lies above the village of Greenfield.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: ‘GMP has been made aware of a post on social media which may show a breach of COVID-legislation.
‘This shall be examined further and we will assess whether any police action needs to be taken.’
The government rules stipulate you can exercise outdoors by yourself, with people you live with, with your support bubble, or – when on your own – with one person from another household.
Forming a support bubble has specific requirements such as needing care as a result of a disability, if you live on your own or if your household includes infant children.
In any case, it only allows you to form a bubble with one other household.
It’s not clear how many people live at Scholes’ colossal house in Oldham – he is separated from his wife – but his children have hosted parties there during the pandemic.
The first breach of Covid rules was in August when he was visited by police after throwing a party for his son Aaron’s 21st birthday.
His daughter Alicia, 19, posted photos of the soirée on Instagram which lasted until 2.30am.
It had gone ahead despite new coronavirus restrictions being imposed on the North West that very day.
Then at New Year’s his children had another party for around 20 friends.
Alicia and Aaron appeared in photos on social media partying with mates, but their father was not pictured.
It is not clear if he was aware of the house party.

Neighbours have previously accused Scholes of ‘ignoring all the rules.’
Scholes’ son Arron plays for ninth-tier Chadderton FC in the North West Counties League, while his daughter Alicia is a netball player for Manchester Thunder.
Oldham Council recorded 570 cases in the seven days to January 30, down from 605 in the previous week.
Since the beginning of the pandemic the council has recorded more than 20,000 and Oldham has the highest rate in Greater Manchester, the 13th highest rate across England.
