Lady Colin Campbell ‘in talks for reality show based inside her castle home’

She starred on reality TV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2015.

And Lady Colin Campbell is reportedly in talks for her own reality TV programme, which will be based inside her castle home in Worthing, West Sussex.

The socialite, 71, will be opening the grand doors of Castle Goring to a camera crew for the new venture, according to The Sun.

New venture: Lady Colin Campbell is reportedly in talks for her own reality TV programme, which will be based inside her castle home in Worthing, West Sussex

The castle first featured in 2016’s documentary Lady C And The Castle, which saw her restore the ruined 18th century property and convert it into her dream home.

MailOnline has contacted Lady Colin Campbell’s representatives for comment.

Lady C, who also starred in Celebs Go Dating, made headlines earlier this year for controversially comparing the Duchess of Sussex with Shakespearean villain Lady Macbeth.

The TV personality, who knew Prince Harry’s mother Princess Diana, warned him about the way his wife has acted and how he is now more distant from his family.

Speaking to The Sun, Lady Colin said: ‘Meghan’s influence is very reminiscent of Lady Macbeth.

‘To gain a toehold over Harry she appears to have played to his weaknesses, just as Katherine has played to William’s strengths.

‘Meghan shares a lot of Harry’s weaknesses. He is hyper-emotional, over-the-top, rushes where wise people don’t and is extremely self-important.’

Her comments came soon after she published her contentious book, Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, in June this year.

The book was ‘unverified’ by the Royal Family and details Lady Colin’s perspective of the couple’s time in the spotlight.

The author, who also penned 1992 bestseller Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody, also locked horns with Phillip Schofield on This Morning in June over her latest book.

Sharing his thoughts, Dancing On Ice’s Phillip, 58, labelled the book ‘tawdry and undignified’, explaining: ‘I’d be surprised any of the royals would want to get involved with more gossip after your Princess Diana book.’

The controversial aristocrat slammed the TV veteran as she defended her latest project: ‘It’s history in the making. That shows how ignorant you are if I may point out.

‘My Diana biography was named the most believable by People Magazine and had it not been for that biography, Diana would have thrown Prince Charles to the wolves.’

And Lady Colin and Phillip’s disagreement only escalated when he called her a ‘gossip’, to which she responded: ‘Everyone is a gossip.

‘If you had any respect for the truth you would be able to appreciate that people who actually stand up and get counted and go against the tide understand the truth.’

Appearing to reference himself coming out as gay in February, the TV star said: ‘I think you’ll find I’ve done that myself!’

Lady Colin also shut down Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell, who claimed she ‘doesn’t know enough to write a book’.

The fiery star said: ‘I don’t dignify anything Paul Burrell says. He’s a disloyal servant and I don’t deal with servants.

‘I do not associate with any member of any royal family publicly unless I am a lady in waiting. Otherwise my relationships are private.

‘If you knew anything about the aristocracy, which you don’t, I do not leak like a sieve like Meghan and Harry.’

Amid her controversial comments, Lady Colin also claimed earlier this year that Meghan was given ‘greater privileges’ than any other royal fiancée.

She insisted the Queen’s family had never ’embraced’ anyone in the same way before and said the Royal Family went ‘out of their way to welcome’ the former actress.

Speaking to the Daily Star Online, she said: ‘The Royal Family went out of their way to embrace [Meghan] in a way that they have never gone out of their way to embrace anybody else.

‘Meghan was the only fiancée that was ever asked to Windsor before the wedding, and she was the only newlywed who was invited by the Queen to accompany her on a daily engagement.

‘She is the only newlywed who was actually invited to stand with the Queen at Buckingham Palace, and Meghan was given greater privileges and embraced in a way that nobody has ever been before.’

During an interview with The Sunday Times, Lady Colin also said Meghan has ‘squandered’ the ‘most wonderful opportunity’ by leaving the royal family.

Meghan and Harry’s relationship was also chronicled in controversial book Finding Freedom, which outlined the couple’s fractious departure from the Royal Family.

The book was written by journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, and it highlighted several difficulties Meghan had trying to settle into the Royal Family.
