Married At First Sight’s Cameron Merchant films wife Jules Robinson squirming as she gets a nasal COVID-19 test in Sydney’s northern beaches

Married At First Sight‘s Cameron Merchant and his wife Jules Robinson are among the Northern Beaches residents staying home amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

And on Wednesday, Cameron, 36, filmed his wife getting tested for the virus, which he shared on Instagram.

In the clip, Jules, 37, squirmed as the nurse swabbed each of her nasal passages and told them they would be getting their results within 24 hours.

Cameron, who took the test just before his wife, also shared the text message of his results and wrote in the caption: ‘NEGATIVE results confirmed! Doesn’t tickle that’s for sure and tried my best not to laugh.’

‘But needed to be done! Well done @julesrobinson82 for being so brave,’ he said.

The reality TV star added that they, like many residents in the Northern Beaches, wouldn’t be able to visit their families due to the lockdown restrictions imposed in the area.

‘We know it will be best for the long run! Thoughts go out to many families that aren’t able to spend time with their loved ones this Christmas.’

‘We shall have a party again soon,’ he added.

On Monday, Cameron shared a similar message of hope to others on the northern beaches forced to celebrate Christmas at home.

He shared a photo of himself and Jules posed in front of the sunset at their $1.8million home.

Cameron wrote in the caption: ‘Lets continue to all help one another’s light shining no matter what the situation. Lockdown on the beaches well and truly underway for us and our fellow residents.

‘As Christmas gets closer (Could just be the 3 this year) just wanted to send so much love, thoughts, smiles and a heap of positivity to all those that have had to reset and continue to be in lock down here and those overseas still doing it tough in 2020.   

NSW recorded 8 Covid cases as of Wednesday. There was a record of more than 44,000 tests in the past 24 hours.
