Three chihuahuas have been filmed escaping from their enclosure with help from the group ‘ringleader’.
A camera captured the moment Rupert, the eldest of the dogs, used his nose to move the gate that blocked their way into the kitchen of their home somewhere in the US.
A mobile phone was set up by the dogs’ owner to try to capture their escape plot after they kept getting out of the living room.
It was soon pretty clear Rupert was behind the mischief, as the others waited while he pulled at the gate.

As soon as there was clearance the other dogs, Olivia and Stewie, were straight out and onto the black and white tiled floor of the kitchen.
A voice in the background can be heard shouting ‘it was a test’ as the dogs made a break for it.
The video was captioned: ‘When Mom is away the Chichis will play’ and a note on the footage itself read: ‘Set my phone up to see how they kept escaping’.
The video quickly went viral on Tik Tok, with viewers commenting that Rupert was the ‘ringleader’ and the others took advantage of his abilities.

Others said Rupert was so smart he knew to intercept the camera on his way out. The video showed him running to sniff the camera after leaving the living room, whereas the other dogs just ran straight out of shot.
