Former real estate agent turned gym mogul Marco Marano has splashed some serious cash on a waterfront mansion in Sydney’s Coogee.
The president of the U.S. operations of F45 – the Sydney gym franchise which boasts more than 1,750 studios in 45 countries – dropped $12.85million the five-bedroom property on Gordon Avenue in Gordons Bay.
The off-market sale went through in August, smashing the suburb’s record – which was set six years ago at $9million – by an impressive $3.85million, reports Domain.

The property is a major upgrade from Marco’s Surry Hills apartment, which he recently sold for $3million.
The Gordons Bay estate has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a four-car garage, in addition to a swimming pool with a waterfall.
It also features a spa, wine cellar and home cinema, as well as two studies.

Marco’s new neighbours include former Slater & Gordon chief executive Hayden Stephens, angel investor Trevor Folsom and comedian Tim Minchin.
Meanwhile, he’s not the only F45 co-founder to own real estate in Sydney’s exclusive eastern suburbs.
His business partner Rob Deutsch, bought a home in Bronte for $11.2million in 2018.
