The family have been spending the past few months at their home in Miami, where the royal has lived since 2018.

Princess Madeleine has had a low-key period amid the on-going pandemic, last sharing a snap of her children in July to mark Sweden’s National Day.

The mother-of-three last appeared in public in December last year, when she joined the family to host the Nobel prize winners for a lavish four-course banquet at Stockholm’s Royal Palace.

Princess Madeleine, who attended the event without her husband, donned a stunning strapless outfit in a bright fuscia and wore a tiara for the occasion.

In October last year the Swedish royal palace announced that the princess’s children were among the five grandchildren of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, 73, to have their royal titles dropped.

The move will mean the young royals will no longer be directly in line to the throne and is hoped to give them ‘a greater opportunity to shape their own lives’ according to Princess Madeleine.

Following the official announcement, the Princess Madeleine took to her Instagram page to state that the decision would give her children more control over their own lives.

She posted a picture of herself with her three children next to a statement which read: ‘This change has been planned for a long time.

‘Chris and I think it is good that our children now have a greater opportunity to shape their own lives in the future as individuals.’
