The actress, 47, posed on the red carpet in a gold dress and strappy black sandal heels.

Her outfit comprised a shiny blouse top and sparkly calf-length skirt.

Campbell left her bodice buttons undone for a less formal look.

Her dark hair was loose and tousled and she was made up with black eye-liner and mascara along with matte red lip color.

Campbell is joining fellow original Scream stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette for the sequel which has been penned by original scribe Kevin Williamson.

It’s been nine years since her last outing as Sidney Prescott in Scream 4, which, like the previous horror movies, was directed by the late Wes Craven.

Last month, Williamson announced that the fifth movie, like the first, will be titled Scream and that filming had been completed.

‘That’s a wrap on Scream, which I’m excited to announce is the official title of the next film! Nearly 25 years ago, when I wrote Scream and Wes Craven brought it to life, I could not have imagined the lasting impact it would have on you, the fans,’ he tweeted.

‘I’m excited for you to return to Woodsboro and get really scared again. I believe Wes would’ve been so proud of the film.’

The movie is currently scheduled for a theatrical release in January, 2022.
