Filming on new season of MTV’s Floribama Shore halted after crew member tests positive for COVID-19

Filming on the new season of MTV reality show Floribama Shore has been halted due to COVID-19.

A team member tested positive for the coronavirus, according to Deadline.com, prompting production to shut down.

The fourth season is being shot at Lake Havasu, in Arizona, and cast and crew will now undergo a 14-day quarantine there, the outlet reported Friday.

Under local, state and federal COVID-19 health and safety protocols, a positive test automatically triggers a shutdown.

Floribama Shore debuted on MTV in 2017 and is seen as a successor to the cable network’s popular Jersey Shore.  

The reality show centers on eight young adults who work, party and live together. 

The main cast comprises Kirk Medas, Candace Rice, Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, Kortni Gilson, Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts and Aimee Hall.

The first two seasons were filmed in Panama City Beach, Florida, on the Florida-Alabama border. 

For season 3, to St. Pete Beach in Florida.
