SAS Australia pulled out all the stops for the show’s heart-stopping finale on Tuesday night.
One of the final terrifying challenges saw the remaining recruits kidnapped, before then having to evade their captors in the dark, and finally being tortured.
The punishing challenge lasted for 12 hours, and led a rattled Molly Taylor to break down and cry before quitting the show.

The remaining recruits were enjoying some down time when the door to their dormitory was blown open with explosives.
A group of masked and armed men then rushed inside and demanded they all get down on the ground at gunpoint.
They were then bound, blindfolded and taken prisoner, before being loaded into cars and driven to a remote location.

After being escorted into a paddock, the still-blindfolded recruits were tasked with plotting their escape.
Sneaking in through the dark, DS (directing staff) Billy Billingham and Ollie Ollerton then opened fire, giving the recruits a chance to escape.
The recruits were then divided into two teams and given directions for a four-hour trek across rough terrain that would lead them to a meeting point.

But as they navigated the unforgiving landscape in the dark, they also had to avoid being captured by a group of hunters, who were searching for them with drones, dogs and spotlights.
After getting lost, Team Bravo, consisting of Sabrina Frederick and James Magnussen, were soon recaptured.
While Team Alpha, consisting of Merrick Watts, Molly Taylor and Nick Cummins, successfully made it their meeting point, they were soon ambushed after getting into an unmarked car.

They were then all taken back to base camp, where they were subjected to resistance to interrogation training, which uses techniques not permitted by either the British or Australian military.

One by one, the recruits were led into interrogation, where they had to maintain a cover story earlier given to them by the show’s DS.

Finally, it was Molly’s turn to undergo interrogation, and chief instructor Ant Middleton noted that the 32-year-old rally driver had been ‘clinging on by the skin of her teeth’.
After stumbling through the interrogation, Molly was taken back to the holding room, where she began to cry underneath her hood.
‘I can’t feel anything. I can’t stop shivering,’ she sobbed as she was forced down onto her knees.

Finally, a defeated Molly raised her hand and asked to see ‘the umpire’ – the anonymous man overseeing the interrogations – and she was led into another room.
After having her hood removed, Molly broke down in hysterical tears and told ‘the umpire’ she needed ‘a blanket’.
‘I can’t sit in that room anymore,’ she sobbed, before announcing she was withdrawing from the course.
