Great British Bake Off fans branded Paul Hollywood ‘creepy’ after he made a rude innuendo to Prue Leith during the semi-final.

In last night’s episode of the Channel 4 show, Paul set the bakers the technical Challenge of making a Danish Cornucopia, which is also known as Horn of Plenty.

The judges were discussing how to make the perfect Horn of Plenty, and Paul asked: ‘So Prue do you want to try some of my horn?

‘You can have that piece,’ he added, as Prue took a bite off the end.

And it wasn’t long before horrified fans took to social media to comment on the ‘classic’ Bake Off innuendo.

‘I was sewing as Paul said ‘do you want to try some of my horn?’ and the needle almost went through my hand,’ wrote one, while a second commented:

‘Did anyone else find Paul’s offer of his horn to Prue ever so slightly creepy and ill judged?’

A third added: ‘Paul’s delivery of that ‘Prue, would you like some of my horn?’ was just so awful omg. Hard to believe a British tv star can’t be bawdy but here we are.’

Another wrote: ‘Horn of plenty? excelling itself tonight. And Paul asking Prue if she’d like a bit of his horn….’

Paul went on to discuss the task he set and said: ‘It’s the perfect challenge, I think, for the bakers, it’s got no flour in this so it’s supposed to be ground almonds in there.

‘Once you’ve actually made the dough, you’ve got to divide it up and then they’ve got to shake it.’

And viewers were also left fuming when fan favourite Hermione was eliminated after battling it out against Laura, Peter and Dave for a spot in the grand final.

But unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be as Hermine fell at the final hurdle, leaving fans devastated as one declared: ‘I absolutely hate you 2020!’

Another joked: ‘Definitely don’t want your horn now Paul. Bad, bad decision.’
