Mel C has been struggling to get her dodgy internet working for 8 YEARS… as she pleads with Virgin Media to fix it via Twitter

Mel C has taken to Twitter to beg Virgin Media to sort out her glitchy broadband – for at least the third time since being their customer for the better part of a decade.

The Spice Girl, 46, posted to the micro-blogging site on Friday desperately writing: ‘@virginmedia I am having constant WiFi problems and can’t get through to anyone who can help!’

This follows a tweet back in April, at the height of the UK’s lockdown, which she posted on the eve of an appearance on The One Show.

Frustrated Spice! Mel C has taken to Twitter to beg Virgin Media to sort out her glitchy broadband – for at least the third time since being their customer for the better part of a decade

‘If anyone @virginmedia could help me I’d really appreciate it. Having major internet issues & I’m due to be live on @BBCTheOneShow tomorrow!!! Thank you!’ she penned.

It seems Mel has suffered Virgin’s dodgy connection at her North London home for the past eight years at least.

In May 2012, she was on Twitter pleading with them to help her again.

She wrote at the time: ‘Dear @virginmedia. Will I ever have broadband again? #annoysville’

The latest tweet got a reply from the Virgin Media account with someone called Zoie attempting to help.

But this was swiftly deleted when some followers also having connection issues demanded to know why Mel had received help but they hadn’t.

‘How come you’ve responded to this and not my issue?’ one tweeter raged, as another posted: ‘Hi, can you tell me and most of your other customers why you replied to this complaint in 12 minutes?’

Someone else seethed: ‘Most customers have to wait 3+ days for a copy and paste reply that is completely irrelevant to what their issue is.’

Another fumed: ‘Why am I not surprised that a global superstar gets an almost instant reply! I, on the other hand have emailed complaints continually for the last two months and get no reply!’

The tweeting also sparked a string of comments from fans who were able to find the funny side.

One posted: ‘You’d think after 8 years of broadband problems that Mel C would just leave Virgin Media!’

Another quipped: ‘[Virgin] were her record label for the Spice Girls… maybe she’s nostalgic.’

Another posted: ‘If Mel C is having trouble with Virgin Media, what chance do us mere non-Spice Girls have?!’

‘I’ll tell you what I want, what I really really want, Is WiFi that doesn’t stop working,’ another posted.

MailOnline has approached Virgin Media for comment.
