An out-of-control nurse punched a pub landlord in the face and bit a customer and police officer in a drunken rage.
Mother-of-two Zoe Goldspink, 35, was present when her husband knocked a man to the ground and ripped the landlord’s shirt at the Crown and Thistle pub, in Kidsgrove, Stoke-on-Trent.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard her husband was taken to the ground and restrained by the landlord and a retired police officer outside the venue.
But Goldspink reacted by kicking and biting the retired officer, punching the landlord, and – when the police arrived – biting one officer on the wrist and thrusting her feet into the chest of another.

Now Goldspink has been banned from entering any pub for the next nine months.
She and her husband – who had been watching the Rugby World Cup on October 26 last year – were described as ‘worse for wear’ in court.
Prosecutor Gerry Bermingham said: ‘The defendant appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was staggering around.
‘She tried to pull the people holding her husband down off him.
‘She bit the retired police officer causing pain and discomfort.
‘She was pushed to the ground. She struggled to get up. She managed to get to her feet and started to walk to where her husband was being restrained.

‘The defendant was seen to be going wild and was agitated and out of control.
‘Eventually the defendant ended up on the ground. She sat with her feet close to the retired police officer.
‘She made a kick between his legs and hit his right ankle. She also kicked him in the upper back.
‘When the police arrived the defendant ran at the landlord and threw a punch which hit him in the face, causing no visible injuries.
‘She bit one officer on the wrist. Another officer struggled with her and she was restrained and taken to the Northern Area Custody Facility.
‘The defendant became verbally aggressive. She thrust her feet into the officer’s chest and face causing him some pain and discomfort.’

The officers then had to strap her legs to restrain her.
Goldspink, of Blackbird Way, Packmoor, Stoke-on-Trent pleaded guilty to two assaults and two charges of assaulting an emergency worker.
Her husband received a conditional caution.
Jason Holt, mitigating, said the defendant, who has no previous convictions, does not normally go out.
He said she is very well thought of as a nurse and if she were to receive anything other than a community order she would lose her job.
The court heard she has taken steps to address her offending behaviour by seeing a psychotherapist.
Recorder Anthony Warner said: ‘Your behaviour on this night was quite inexcusable and dreadful behaviour which I know you now fully understand and are thoroughly ashamed of. You feel genuine remorse.
‘Your behaviour on that terrible night was brought about entirely by you having taken far too much to drink, a lot more than was sensible, and that affected your behaviour.
‘People who come before the courts who have some background for behaving badly in drink will usually find themselves going immediately to custody.
‘But in your case, this episode, as bad as it was, was a complete aberration in a life which was otherwise law-abiding.
Now Goldspink has been banned from entering any pub for the next nine months. She has also been handed a 12-month community order and must pay £!45 costs
‘In your job as a nurse you are very highly regarded by everybody who knows you.
‘You are someone who is regarded by all your colleagues and people who know you in nursing as exemplary, a fantastic nurse.
‘You had hidden the fact you were stressed and the medication you were taking from others who knew you.
‘You were behaving wholly professionally in doing your job but hiding from people the real stress that you were suffering.
‘The psychotherapy report concluded you are suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
‘You are a genuinely caring person who is extremely remorseful.’
Goldspink was handed a 12-month community order. She must pay £145 costs.
