Welcome to the dark side! Shelley Craft swaps her trademark blonde bob for a brunette hairdo on The Block

She’s The Block’s resident bubbly blonde, but Shelley Craft got a makeover on Wednesday episode.

The 44-year-old host showed off a darker hairdo, after trading her blonde locks for a light brunette hue.

As she explained a challenge to the show’s contestants, there was certainly no missing the change in Shelley’s hair colour.

‘Today’s challenge is called “Selling In Style”,’ she told the apprehensive contestants.

‘Inside this apartment building are two empty apartments, which you have to furnish and style – living room, kitchen and a bedroom. All before an open for inspection at 4pm this afternoon.’

While there was no mention of Shelley’s new hairdo, the show’s contestants were understandably more consumed by the mammoth task that lay ahead of them.

It’s not the first time Shelley’s ventured over to the dark side when it comes to her hair.

The lovable TV star dyed her hair brunette back in July 2017, opting for a similar light brown hue.

‘I had always, forever, wanted to have dark hair – preferably Pulp Fiction black,’ she told The Block Shop at the time.

She admitted she wasn’t sure if her TV bosses would be onboard with her new look, prompting her to wait for a break in production.

‘Just after The Block auction was the first time in 20 years that I had had a long enough production break to be able to do it – and know I had enough time to get back to normal if I had to. So I did it!’ she added.
