Cameron Daddo reveals the bizarre way that Home and Away stars film kissing scenes during COVID-19

Cameron Daddo certainly made a splash when he began starring on Home and Away earlier this year.

And on Monday, the 55-year-old opened up about how the long-running drama safely filmed kissing scenes amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking on his podcast Separate Bathrooms and Other Handy Marriage Tips the actor explained that at one point production considered putting Glad Wrap on their lips.

Kiss and tell: On Monday, the 55-year-old opened up about how the long-running drama safely filmed kissing scenes amid the COVID-19 pandemic

‘Just recently on Home and Away we were supposed to do kisses with Covid, you know, and in the end there was talk at the time of putting Glad Wrap over our lips just to do the kiss,’ he said.

‘But in the end it was all camera angles, there was a sort of leaning in, but no touch. So sexy.’

Cameron played Evan Slater on the series, but following his tragic death, the Models Inc. star returned as Evan’s twin brother Owen.

Earlier this month, Cameron confessed on the podcast to gaslighting his wife Alison Brahe in the past.

Alison, 50, brought up the issue of gaslighting after saying how much a heartfelt apology can help someone.

‘The flip side of that is gaslighting. Like when I say, “That really hurt when you did that,” and you say, “I didn’t do that,”‘ she said.

Cameron then admitted he’d done that to her before. ‘I’ve done that to you. I’ve done that. And you know I’ve done that,’ he said.

He added: ‘This is where it’s hard. This is why it’s so difficult to look at the way we hurt people. And I’ve done that with you, [told you], “You’re crazy, you’re nuts.” And I’ll apologise again.’

The couple wed in 1991 and have three children together, daughters Lotus, 24, and Bodhi, 14, and a son, River, 20.
