Rather than having coffee machines and tea boxes on show, women are now displaying stylish gin stations in their kitchens.

The idea first surfaced on social media after a woman posted a picture to the Kmart Home Décor and Hacks Australia Facebook group.

‘You all do your lovely tea and coffee stations. Well this is our gin station,’ Liz wrote.

The arrangement is ideal for gin connoisseurs and those who have a wide range of spirits.

More than 1,900 social media users part of the Facebook group 'liked' the post and some shared images of their home gin stations too

To arrange the setup, Liz purchased a circular wooden chopping board and a serving stand from Kmart.

The boards were positioned in a kitchen corner and the gin bottles from varying brands were placed on top.

'Great idea! I have about seven bottles of gin that could use this!' another person said, and a third added: 'The only station anyone is interested in.'
