Angie will be starring alongside Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt and Real Housewives of Sydney star and actress Melissa Tkautz, in the movie which is set to be recorded in Queensland.

Speaking on Studio 10, she said of her audition: ‘You know what, [I thought] I’m going to give it a red hot go, but I probably won’t get it.

‘I sat in the back of my car looking like I was in a dark, dingy set-up. I had my laptop and I made myself all scruffy, like old school Angie.’

And it clearly worked, as she was offered the part via a zoom chat – not even meeting the director in person.

When asked if she was nervous about her drastic career change, she added: ‘You know what, why not? Life’s for living, I love a good adventure.’

When asked if she channelled anything to bring out her emotion, she joked: ‘Every dude I dated on Bachelorette. Too soon?’
