Miranda Lambert is an ethereal equestrian in new Settling Down music video starring shirtless husband Brendan Mcloughlin

She didn’t need to look too far to find the subject in her latest video.

And Miranda Lambert enlisted the help of her husband Brendan Mcloughlin to create a steamy shirtless scene in her latest Settling Down music video.

The 36-year-old country crooner exuded ethereal equestrian vibes as she wandered through an open field while riding on the back of a massive horse for the three minute clip which was filmed on her farm.

Just the two of us: Miranda Lambert enlisted the help of her husband Brendan Mcloughlin to create a steamy shirtless scene in her latest Settling Down music video

The couple — who will celebrate two years of wedded bliss in January — caught up in the kitchen for a romantic night in.

‘I’m a wild child and a homing pigeon, caravan and an empty kitchen,’ she sang. ‘Bare feet on the tile with my head up in the clouds. I’m one heart goin’ both directions, one love and a couple of questions: Am I settlin’ up or settlin’ down?’

Miranda found herself on the back of a Clydesdale as she galloped through the open country while wearing a white cape and blue dress.

Lambert explained during a YouTube Q&A that she cast her husband in her latest video because of his good looks.

‘I think we understand why we had him in my video,’ she said. ‘Because he’s really pretty and I needed a video babe and he was there, so I mean, it just worked out.’

Miranda — who was married to country star Blake Shelton between 2011 and 2015 — loved seeing her husband on camera during the shoot.

‘My favorite part of filming was watching my husband sort of come to life on camera,’ she said. ‘It was his video debut and he’s so sweet and humble about it, but he really killed it, so that was fun to watch.’

Miranda teamed up with director Trey Fanjoy to make the video, which was inspired by the song’s lyrics and her life with the former New York Police Department officer.

She said: ‘I wanted to shoot something at my home, my farm, preferably with my husband. I just felt like it was very intimate and you know.

‘She sort of made it this very beautiful fairytale, but also very down-home and down-to-earth and it was shot at my happy place with my happy person, so it was a really good day.’

Miranda and Brendan were married on Jan. 26 after a whirlwind romance which began only a few months before.

Mcloughlin was previously engaged to Jackie Bruno before Kaihla Rettinger revealed she was seven months pregnant with their son who was born days after he met Lambert in November 2018.
