Is this the most bizarre decor fad yet? Trend for decorating washing machines with ‘dresses’ is mocked by thousands online

  • Customers can now purchase washing machine ‘dresses’ to cover the appliance
  • The product is made from lace to protect the washing machine from dust
  • But many customers mocked the trend and said it was ‘impractical’ and ‘odd’
  • Some said the cover reminded them of something their grandparents owned
  • Covers for the fridge and microwave can also be purchased to match

Shoppers are now covering their washing machines in ‘dresses’ as part of an unusual new decor trend – but not everyone is on board with the ‘elegant’ look.

Made from a delicate lace material, the ‘dress’ is designed to protect the washing machine from dust and any unwanted particles.

The ‘romantic and elegant floral design’ is described in the product description as a ‘unique gift for women’, but many Australian shoppers have mocked the product and branded it as ‘unappealing’ and ‘impractical’.
