Celebrity Show-Off: Tori Spelling cries and screams as she wins series and earns $25,000 for charity

Tori Spelling screamed and cried as she was declared the winner of Celebrity Show-Off on Tuesday’s season one finale on TBS.

Surrounded by her five children, the 47-year-old actress yelled, ‘Oh my God!’ and shook as it became clear she would earn the show’s red prize belt.

‘I will wear this everywhere proudly, you have no idea!’ Tori sobbed, proud that her self-created YouTube program, Celebra-TORI, beat out a show by the other finalist, filmmaker Kevin Smith, 50.

Her newest episode, subtitled ‘No-TORI-ous S-TORI-es,’ found Tori poking fun at the tabloid rumors that had dogged her throughout her career.

‘Doing it my way this time,’ she said proudly.

Tori pretended to read her son Beau, a bedtime story called ‘Tori Stories,’ which featured the worst headlines that had been printed in magazines about her and her acting ability.

In one scene, her three-year-old son Beau played her late father Aaron Spelling, the legendary TV producer, and pretended to ‘give’ her a show of her own after she auditioned for him.

In another, she depicted her alleged plastic surgery addiction by ‘removing’ her natural features to reveal what they were really hiding: a hooked nose, a hairy chest, and a balding scalp.

To mock headlines that said she was ‘broke, no joke,’ she pretended to deliver groceries and packages to celebrities such as Denise Richards, 49, and her husband Aaron Phypers, 47, and Alec Baldwin, 62, and Hilaria Baldwin, 36.

‘She forgot the condoms!’ Alec griped. 

Show host Mayim Bialik, 44, asked Tori what the ‘most ridiculous’ rumor she’d ever heard about herself was.

Tori said, ‘Probably the plastic surgery one.’

‘Reading about yourself at 17 that you had your rib cage removed, and you had cheek implants, it was just really horrifying, and I remember my dad at the time saying, ”Babe, don’t worry about i”t,’ she relayed. ‘If they’re writing about you, that’s a good thing. It’s when they stop writing about you, you got a problem.’

Tori’s win earned an extra $25,000 for her chosen charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which garnered a total of $42,500 from her participation on the show.

Views, shares and comments on their YouTube shows pushed Tori and Kevin to the top, and former show contestants NeNe Leakes, 52, and Ja Rule, 44, voted for the actress to win.

Seconds before the decision was announced, Tori told her kids, ‘You guys are all winners. You know that right? No matter what happens.’

The former Beverly Hills 90210 was so ready for the finale, she even had her fingernails decorated with photos of ‘the power throuple’: herself, Kevin and Jason Mraz, 43, who came in third.

Mayim earned a place on her thumbnail.

‘We all got fingered by Tori Spelling,’ Kevin cracked.

The episode began with a look at singer Jason Mraz’s last YouTube episode of ‘Mraz’s Mragical Mranch,’ called ‘The Quest for Perfection.’

He and his pals wrapped their weekly musical shows with a big finale that saw them hula-hooping, doing synchronized swimming, and dancing with the Queen of Cannabis.

‘There’s no such thing as a perfect ending, just make great art with your favorite friends,’ the Queen rapped. ‘Remember that the end is a new beginning, and when you have fun, you’re always winning.’

Next up was Kevin Smith’s sitcom parody Son-in-Lockdown, which found his daughter Harley Quinn’s boyfriend, Austin Zajur, once again tormenting the Smith family.

Austin built a secret staircase from their kitchen to the garage, where he was caught accepting contraband shipments of toilet paper and other popular coronavirus-era goods.

He revealed that he’d been fronting all along for ‘Nan and Pop,’ Kevin’s sly parents-in-law.

When it was Tori’s turn, Mayim asked her why being on the show had been so important to her.

‘This has been an amazing journey,’ Tori replied. ‘People have a lot of preconceived notions about me, and a lot to say about me my whole career, and it was finally my chance to have my voice heard.’

Mayim praised the way Tori had conducted herself since her time on 90210, offering, ‘You have a lot of self-deprecating things you say about yourself, but you have a beautiful presence.’

Kevin then told Tori she was ‘legit funny,’ to which Tori explained, ‘I’m really driven. I’m my father’s daughter.’

After watching Tori’s newest episode of Celebra-TORI, NeNe empathized with the actress’ tabloid struggles, admitting she was in the tabloids weekly, too.

Ja said, ‘I’ve been talked about in very high regards throughout my career, and then there’s the Fyre Festival. S*** happens!’

After NeNe and Ja voted for Tori to win, she learned how much money she’d raised for St. Jude’s. Kevin also won $20,000 for the National Black Justice Coalition.

Mayim passed around a few other compliments to the departing contestants, telling Jason she was a super-fan, and had long sung his songs with her family and a capella group.

Jason returned the favor, saying the first movie he ‘ever cried to’ was her 1988 film Beaches.

Mayim also told Kevin that his 1994 movie Clerks ‘changed the way I saw the world that was waiting for me, outside public school in Los Angeles as a weird, dark kid.’

‘You are a singular individual,’ Kevin replied, telling her their friendship had ‘truly Blossom-ed.’
