Kaley Cuoco laughs off report she’s at odds with Margot Robbie as both stars play Harley Quinn in DC Universe

Kaley Cuoco is not having it when it comes to rumors of a rift with Margot Robbie.

The 34-year-old actress laughed off a report she and Robbie have a common Hollywood bond as they both portray Harley Quinn in the DC Universe – with Cuoco voicing the character on the HBO Max animated show, while the Australian stunner, 30, has played the role in multiple films.

Cuoco, who played Penny on the top-rated CBS hit The Big Bang Theory for 12 years, responded with ‘LOL’ to a report on Instagram Stories from the Australian outlet Micky, citing Star, that implicated the tension between the stars was so thick, they were unable to work with one another for a a Comic-Con promotion.

The latest: Kaley Cuoco, 34, is not having it when it comes to rumors of a rift with Margot Robbie, 30. Cuoco laughed off a report she and Robbie have a common Hollywood bond as they both portray Harley Quinn in the DC Universe 

‘They each balked,’ a source told Star, Micky reported. ‘Not only is there professional jealousy, but they also just don’t like each other.’

The report continued: ‘No concrete pieces of evidence can confirm that these hearsays are correct as of this writing.’

Robbie, who has past played the role in The Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey, was rumored to be linked to the animated show, which showrunner Justin Halper, 39, acknowledged in a February chat with the GWW

‘We met with her, we pitched out a few episodes to her and our general arc and she was very thoughtful and kind and just listened and that was kind of it,’ he told the outlet. ‘It wasn’t like she said no and then we went to Kaley, Margot just wanted to be informed.’

Halper, known for his S*** My Dad Says Twitter feed, said that executive producer Geoff Johns and the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood beauty had discusses the concept of a collaboration, but nothing panned out.

‘Geoff was like ‘Trust me, this is way way different tonally than what you’re doing,’ and that was that,’ Halper said. ‘And I have to imagine he was right. I haven’t seen [Birds of Prey], but I’m guessing it’s not as overtly comedic as our show.’

Harley Quinn will being steaming on HBO Max next month; The Suicide Squad is slated to hit theaters August 6, 2021.
