Bindi Irwin thanked her fans for their birthday wishes after she turned 22 on Friday. 

But the young conservationist had a more important message – urging people to band together and improve the world as it’s ravaged by COVID-19

In a video shared to Instagram, the wildlife warrior told her fans:  ‘Thank you for your incredible birthday messages, and your kind words.

‘Thank you for support today and every day, it means the the world to me and my family.’ 

She continued: ‘These are certainly challenging times. I cant believe how this global pandemic has changed the world.

‘And my heart goes out to everybody who has been so terribly affected.  Now than ever we need to stand together as a society and spread love and light.

Bindi went on: ‘Here at Australia zoo we are really busy. Our wildlife hospital is still rescuing and rehabilitating animals. And we will continue to fight the good fight.
