Michael Klim walks on crutches as he leaves a Sydney hotel with girlfriend Michelle Owens

He was spotted walking on crutches after breaking his left leg in January.

And it seems Michael Klim, 42, is still in the midst of battling an injury, after the Olympian was spotted walking on crutches once again on Monday.   

The former professional athlete appeared downcast as he left the upscale Ovolo Hotels in Wooloomooloo, Sydney, with his DJ girlfriend Michelle Owens. 

Michael was seen tentatively making his way out of the lobby with the walking aids, while Michelle walked alongside him.  

The brunette carried a shopping bag a bag emblazoned with the logo of an X-ray clinic, presumably containing Michael’s scans. 

The couple appeared to be in the midst of a serious conversation as they left the hotel and made their way down the busy sidewalk. 

Michael wore an all-black ensemble, consisting of a slouch-fit jumper and jeans, which he paired with black-and-white Vans shoes.   

Michelle also wore a similar all-black ensemble which included an oversized black jumper and a pair of black boyfriend jeans. 

She finished her look with a pair of white sneakers. 

Michael and Michelle have largely kept out of the spotlight since going public with their relationship in October last year.

Their relationship was made public five months after Michael’s split from fashion designer girlfriend Desiree Deravi, when they were spotted at lunch at a cafe in Bondi, Woman’s Day reported.

Micheal was previously married to socialite, Lindy Rama-Ellis for 10 years before they announced their split in February 2016.  

Michelle has since won Lindy’s approval after she referred to her as part of the ‘family’ in a Christmas Instagram post last year.
