Eliminated MasterChef contestants reveal who they think will win the $250,000 prize – as Callum, Reynold, Laura and Emilia head to the finale

Callum Hann, Reynold Poernomo, Laura Sharrad and Emilia Jackson have made it to the final four on MasterChef: Back to Win.

And their former co-stars have revealed to Popsugar who they believe is most likely to win the competition – and the $250,000 prize – during the grand finale next week.

Dani Wenn, Tessa Boersma and Amina Elshafei are all firmly backing dessert king Reynold.

Dani, who was the fourth cook to be eliminated from the series, said that Reynold deserved to win because he inspired everyone in the kitchen to lift their game.

‘For me, I think he’s the one that elevated MasterChef to new heights when he came into the kitchen,’ she said.

Tessa added that he was an ‘incredible’ chef and ‘absolutely’ deserved to take the crown this year.

Amina added that Reynold’s skills went far beyond desserts and that his savoury dishes were also ‘wonderful’.

Meanwhile, Ben Milbourne, Simon Toohey and Sarah Tiong are backing ‘underdog’ Callum to win.

Ben said that Callum was the best all-rounder in the competition, with an impressive ability to jump between different cuisines.

Hayden Quinn said Callum had ‘flown under the radar’ throughout the series, but described him a ‘silent assassin’ with the potential to win.

Meanwhile, Simon Toohey said: ‘I want Callum to win because he’s my best mate. I love that boy dearly.’

Sarah Clare, on the other hand, believes Laura is most likely to be the champion.

Reece Hignell, who was eliminated from MasterChef on Sunday, told The Project on Monday that he was backing Emilia to win.

‘I’ve decided that I want Emelia to win and I have a very strong reason why,’ he said.

‘I have a cake business, she has a cake business, so if she wins I can claim that as a win for a cake maker as well!’

MasterChef continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10
