Lisa Kudrow told pal Conan O’Brien ‘a pandemic was coming’ for years

Lisa Kudrow was one step ahead when it came to the pandemic, according to pal Conan O’Brien. 

‘I’ve known you for a long time,’ the late night host told his pal during a remote interview which aired Wednesday, ‘And you are the person preparing for this pandemic since the day I met you.’

It turns out the Friends star’s background as a peer-reviewed biologist had her ready for years.

‘You are someone who studied biology, chemistry,’ he said. ‘You always used to be telling me over the years that a pandemic was coming and you liked to hunker down.’

That being said, Lisa – who was also a board member for her alma mater Vassar – laughed when Conan asked how she was adjusting to quarantine life.

‘Adjusting? There was no adjusting,’ she joked. ‘It was just how I lived my life. There were days and days where I just never even left my house or went in my car.’

While Kudrow has been fine hunkering down at home, she promised Friends fans that they wouldn’t be waiting long for the highly anticipated reunion special.

‘We have something on the books for us to do it at some point in August. And we’ll see. We’re all still waiting for guidelines for shooting things. So, hopefully!’

Strict health and safety guidelines will be in place on set, according to The Mirror.

‘There are going to be very strict guidelines and that includes no live audiences,’ one source told the outlet.

They added that, ‘all of the cast will be tested for Covid-19, and asked to quarantine in isolation after they’ve had the tests.’

The special will ‘be a mix of interviews and sketches,’ according to the site.
