Sunrise host Samantha Armytage recently announced her engagement to horse breeder Richard Lavender.
But it appears that one of her fans is hoping that she will choose him instead.
On Channel Seven’s breakfast show on Friday, Sam was caught giggling like a schoolgirl after a viewer proposed to her on live TV.
Crossing over to weather presenter Sam Mac in Port Macquarie, he was quick to point out Samantha’s admirer in the crowd.
The man was holding a sign that read: ‘Marry me instead, Sam A.’
‘For a moment I thought that was directed at me, but let’s meet this gentleman,’ Sam Mac said.
‘There is a late offer coming through, apparently his name is Kevin.’

The roving reporter told Kevin that Samantha and Richard were watching, and asked if he had anything to say.
Kevin quickly replied: ‘Marry me!’
Samantha responded in the Sunrise studio: ‘Well, that’s a beautiful proposal. Thank you, Kevin, but I’m spoken for.’

Sam asked the gentleman if he thought he could ‘compete with Richard’.
Kevin then had Samantha giggling like a schoolgirl when he responded: ‘He looks like he’s got his s**t together I think.’
Sam announced her engagement to Richard, 60, on Instagram on June 21, sharing two photos of the couple cuddled up in front of a bonfire, while showing off her diamond ring on her wedding finger.
