‘That’s so good, it’s PERFECT’: Giggling Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield get tipsy live on air as they tuck into cocktails before midday

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield giggled their way through a segment on cocktails on This Morning on Wednesday.

The TV hosts sampled several drinks excitedly before midday, with Holly commenting that one margarita mix was ‘so good, it’s perfect.’

Guest host Nana Acheampong, 34, was giving viewers tips on the best buys this summer.

She said: ‘I know it’s not 12 o’clock guys…’ as she showed off Nio Cocktail tasters – pre-mixed cocktails which come in a packet.

Phil, 58, chimed in: ‘You know it makes no difference to us.’

Holly, 39, took a sip of a margarita and said: ‘Oh my god, that’s so good, it’s perfect. How cool is that? It can fit in your handbag! This is my favourite cocktail.’

After that, she sampled a Sipsmith Gin limited edition with chilli and lime.

‘It’s got quite a kick to it,’ said Holly.

Phil added: 'You can really get a nice taste of chilli, it's not crazy hot though. I like it very much' as he tucked into a Sipsmith gin after his margarita

Meanwhile, BBC bosses are reportedly planning to offer Phillip a big-money deal to try and lure him away from rivals ITV.

Sources have claimed the veteran presenter is being eyed by bosses as his ‘golden handcuffs’ deal with ITV will be coming to an end in 2021.

Phil is thought to be one of the highest-earning presenters on TV with a salary of around £1 million a year, mainly thanks to his jobs hosting This Morning and Dancing On Ice.

According to The Sun, ITV are expected to put up a fight to keep Phil, as it would bring an end to his long-standing This Morning partnership if he chose to leave the channel.

A source said: ‘He’s become a prime target for the BBC who think he would be the perfect face for a number of new shows. His contract with ITV ends in 2021 so the BBC want to start a conversation.

‘The hope is a meeting could take place as restrictions begin to ease later this year — and he’d be able to give them an idea of how much he’d be looking for.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Phillip Schofield and BBC for comment, with a BBC spokesperson stating: ‘There is absolutely no truth in this and no discussions have taken place.’
