Speeding and driving under the influence are all expected causes for drivers to be stopped by police, but these confessions prove some people are approached for far more unusual reasons.

Writing anonymously on confessions app Whisper, people from around the world have revealed the craziest reasons they’ve been pulled over. 

One woman told how she was stopped by a police officer for wearing a bikini, while another revealed he was pulled over for driving while crying.

Elsewhere, a further claimed she has been stopped because her appearance caused officers to assume that she was a drug addict or prostitute.
