1. Milky coffees

In good news for those who can’t get through the morning without a large latte or cappuccino, Leanne said you don’t need to forgo this in order to speed up fat loss.

‘I drink a coffee daily – it’s both delicious and good protein for fullness,’ the dietitian posted on TikTok.

Leanne often supplements her coffee with either almond or oat milk, but always chooses a calcium-enriched variety to make sure she gets enough of the nutrient.

2. Frozen grapes

The second food on Leanne’s list is frozen grapes.

While slightly unusual, she explained that they are a great and healthy way to satisfy a sweet craving.

‘I always eat them when I’m craving something sweet as an ice cream replacement,’ Leanne said.

Leanne (pictured) also said cottage cheese should be added to your list, as it is filled with protein and it's low in fat which makes it perfect spread on crackers as a snack

She often eats it with toast, tomatoes and black pepper in the morning to stay full until lunchtime.

4. Popcorn

While Leanne said you can eat popcorn, it’s important that you choose and eat the right variety.

‘Plain is preferred, with a little seasoning,’ Leanne said.

‘It doesn’t matter if it’s microwaveable or air-popped at all.’

5. Roasted chickpeas

Roasted chickpeas are a great idea for a savoury snack.

Simply take a can of chickpeas, drain them and dry them out as much as possible.

Then, add plenty of olive oil, salt and pepper and spices, and pop them in the oven to gently roast for 20-30 minutes.

Finally, let the chickpeas sit for half an hour to cool down before enjoying.

6. Grapefruit

Grapefruit has long been a dieting staple, and Leanne said it’s great to snack on if you need something to tide you through on a morning or afternoon.

7. Potatoes

You might not think that potatoes are good for weight loss, but Leanne said she often has potatoes with her meals because they are ‘yummy, filling and make healthy eating easier to stick to’.

‘Another good thing about potatoes is when they are cooked and cooled, they have resistant starch for gut health benefits,’ Leanne said.

‘Potato is wonderfully healthy, just bake it or roast it in small amounts – rather than fry it.’

8. Greek yoghurt

The dietitian recommends Greek yoghurt over regular yoghurt, because it’s higher in protein and low in sugar.

‘Greek yoghurt fills me up more than regular yoghurt,’ Leanne added.

9. Fresh berries

Berries will always be a good addition to your diet, and Leanne said it actually doesn’t matter if you buy the fresh or frozen type – as both have the same amount of nutrients.

10. Dark chocolate

You can eat chocolate and lose weight – provided it’s the dark variety and so therefore filled with antioxidants.

11. Rolled oats

Rolled plain oats are another good addition to your diet, especially at breakfast time, because they will keep you full for several hours.

12. Mixed nuts

Finally, the dietitian said mixed nuts are another of her favourite snack foods, thanks to the fact that they are rich in nutrients and keep you full.
