Woman shows off the dream dressing room her fiancé built her as a surprise – complete with a Hollywood mirror, a marble worktop, Kmart decor and a chandelier

  • A bride-to-be has shared pictures of her ‘dream’ dressing room at home
  • It was curated by her ‘talented fiancé’ to house her extensive shoe collection
  • The woman explained that everything was bought from IKEA, Kmart or eBay
  • People have commented that it looks like a Desperate Housewives closet

An Australian woman has been gifted the ultimate dressing room makeover by her fiancé, complete with a Hollywood mirror, marble worktop and a chandelier.

The bride-to-be shared images of the luxury space to Facebook which houses her extensive Louboutin shoe collection, makeup, bags and jewellery.

‘When your very talented fiancé builds you the dressing room of your dreams,’ she captioned the photos.

‘Everything is from IKEA and Kmart except for the chandelier, velvet chair, Hollywood mirror and white rug, which were sourced off eBay.’

Her partner used the IKEA PAX wardrobe system to build the white cupboards, which come with a 10-year guarantee, and matching PAX sliding mirror doors.

Inside the wardrobes the drawer inserts are from the KOMPLEMENT range in a white shade, which start at $40 a piece, and the MALM dressing table is $199.

The BILLY bookcases, which start at $79, match the all-white theme of the room, with another MALM product – the drawers in the centre island – reminiscent of something you would find in Kylie Jenner’s closet.

The TERESIA sheer curtains are $14.99 each and her fiancé went to the added effort of spraying the curtain pole gold for a touch of metal detailing.

Beyond the IKEA shopping he did, Kmart also provided a number of the furniture items in the beautiful room.

The grey velvet bench ($45) is a stoop to hold her candles, artworks and frames, with most things on top of it printed at the Kmart store.

All of her cosmetics holders, vases and fake flowers are also from the retailer, along with the $8 curtain string lights behind the makeup station.

More than a thousand comments were written below her post with many saying this was an ‘amazing display’ from her husband-to-be and they wish they could ‘clone him’.

‘Wow that is absolutely stunning. You’re so lucky to have someone as talented and thoughtful to do that for you. What a catch,’ one woman said.

‘I can’t tell if I’m more jealous of the dressing room or the amount of Louboutins. So stunning,’ said another.

A third added: ‘Can I borrow him to fit out my closet?’
