An Australian woman has discovered an ingenious product for keeping food fresh for weeks and it’s just $5 from IKEA stores.
The lady, who shared the product on social media, said it was ‘hands down’ one of the best things she has ever bought from the homewares retailer and she’ll be heading back to purchase more in time.

Dubbed the ÖVERMÄTT product at IKEA, the packs come in a set with three different sizes, depending on how big the food or drink is that you want to cover

They are made from silicone, which is super durable, and can we washed and reused continuously.

They can be put through the dishwasher but are not safe for either the oven or microwave if you’re reheating something.

The woman admitted the design was a little humorous, with her 13-year-old son and many others joking that they look like condoms.
‘I never knew I needed food condoms until today,’ one woman said.
