‘Ryan Murphy, hit me up!’: Lily Allen claims she was asked to appear in American Horror Story but FORGOT all about it

Lily Allen has claimed she was asked to appear in American Horror Story last year but forgot to follow it up.

In a bizarre Instagram video on Wednesday, the Smile singer, 35, said she had been excited about starring in the FX horror anthology series but admitted she was so busy at the time of the request, she had forgotten when the series was filming.

A giggling Lily who looked slightly embarrassed as she relayed the story on Instagram, told fans: ‘I need some help.’

What? Lily Allen has claimed she was asked to appear in American Horror Story last year but forgot to follow it up

When her boyfriend, Stranger Things star David Harbour said in the background: ‘What do you need?’ Lily, who played with her hair constantly, replied: ‘I’m talking to my fandom…

‘So basically me and my boyfriend today were talking about American Horror Story. I don’t know how it came up and it reminded me of something that happened a while ago.

‘I don’t know how long ago, maybe six months, a year. It’s so embarrassing. I was called up and asked what my availability was for Autumn.

‘I can’t remember whether it was this year or next year because they were interested in me being in American Horror Story.

‘It sounds plausible and I remember laughing with my manager about it at the time because it was so far in advance.

‘As if I would know what I was going to be doing a year and a half from now. So then I was like yeah, call Seb (my manager) about that and speak to him cause it could be quite interesting.’

The star went on to say that while she was totally up for appearing in the series, the life-changing opportunity had simply slipped her mind.

She added: ‘So then I called my manager today and he has absolutely no recollection.

‘Seb searched his email for the words American Horror Story and nothing was there.

‘I then called my mum thinking it maybe came through her and she said she had no idea what I was taking about, but I know that I did not make this up so whoever it was at American Horror Story that wants me to be in American Horror Story hit me up cause I’m interested.

‘Ryan Murphy please hit me up.’

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy just this week confirmed a spin off series of the show during a Zoom meeting with cast members.

Lily would not be the first singer to appear on the hit show.

Stars including Stevie Nicks, Adam Levine and Billy Porter have also had guest spots.
