Married At First Sight’s Mel Schilling reveals her fitness and beauty secrets

Like many of us, Mel Schilling has been living in lockdown for the past two months with her family.

And despite not having access to gyms or beauty clinics, the Married At First Sight relalationship expert has made fitness and health a priority during the pandemic.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the 48-year-old revealed that she’s been working out with a personal trainer and paying extra attention to her skincare regimen. 

‘I definitely exercise, that has become an obsession for me since being in lockdown,’ she said.

‘I mean, I enjoyed my exercise before, but now it’s become so incredibly important.’

She continued: ‘So I’m doing, twice a week. I’m working out with a personal trainer in a park. But then I’m also doing online, online weight training at home and yoga as well at home and my daily walk as well.’

The therapist also said that she’s taking advantage of being at home by not wearing any makeup, which is giving her skin time to breath.

‘You know, for someone who’s in lockdown I’m taking so many opportunities just to be makeup-free, and, whether it’s wearing a mask during the day or using some of my Biologi serums [and] oils.

‘I wouldn’t usually wear oils during the day. I usually wear them at night. But at the moment, because I’m not going anywhere, I’m using them during the day. So I’m putting a lot that hydration back into my skin, which is really important.’ 

The Channel Nine star currently appears in The Ugg Shop Mother’s Day campaign alongside her adorable daughter, Maddie.

Speaking about the upcoming celebration, Mel revealed that she’s planning to spend it at home Zooming with her parents, and Gareth’s too. 

‘I just hope to be absolutely spoilt on the day,’ she laughed off.
