Ricky Gervais ‘boosts his companies’ earnings by £2 MILLION after huge Netflix deal for his acclaimed series After Life’
Ricky Gervais reportedly increased his companies’ earnings last year by £2 million thanks to the success of his hit Netflix series After Life.
The comedian, 58, gave himself a ‘£1.5 million cash windfall’ after he secured a huge deal for a second series of the dark comedy, which is set for release on April 24.
The co-creator of The Office is now thought to be worth an estimated £100 million and has suggested he could do a third series of the show.

In his latest accounts, Ricky earned his multiple registered companies £2 million last year, reports The Sun.
One of his companies, Red Lion 100 Limited, allegedly saw profits rise by £1.15 million to £5.5 million, with assets in Derek Productions Limited going from £2.4 million to £2.85 million.
Accounts reportedly show Ricky also transferred £1.5 million from Red Lion 99 LLP in cash and the company still has assets worth £2.1 million.
A profit of £400,000 is said to have been spread over his other companies.

Ricky, who hosted this year’s Golden Globes, lives in a luxury £11 million home in Hampstead, north London, with his partner Jane Fallon, 59.
He said earlier this week he had ‘no money growing up’, adding: ‘I realised all best things were free — friends, nature, learning and health care. And that’s why I pay my taxes. And why I clap the NHS.’
His comments came as he criticised celebrities for whining about having to self-isolate while NHS staff risk their lives to battle COVID-19.

Ricky said that once the coronavirus crisis is over he never wants to hear people ‘moaning about the welfare state’ or nurses again.
The comedian’s comments come after a furore when singer Sam Smith, 27, broke down in tears on Instagram from self-isolating in a £12million house.
Last month, Sam appeared to be crying after spending time inside their house amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Similarly, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was mocked for describing lockdown life in his £4m Cornwall property as ‘a living nightmare’.
