‘My midwife is like you’re going to have to eat at least 4,000 calories a day, which is a hell of a lot of food. When you don’t have time, the last thing you’re thinking about is meals.’

Iskra went on to describe some of her symptoms, shortly after giving birth.

While she didn’t tear because she did vaginal exercises, the model said she was suffering from lots of bleeding- something she didn’t know about and wasn’t prepared for.

‘I keep on bleeding. Things would keep on coming on out of your body,’ she said.

‘There’s a lot of changes. I feel like pregnancy was a slow gradual change my bump didn’t come in until 18 weeks.

‘Even my boob growth, I grew 2 cup sizes but it seemed more gradual.

‘Postpartum you’ve popped this baby out. Boom you’re stomach is suddenly empty. Instead of being hard and full of a child it is soft and jelly like and weirdly empty and alone feeling.

‘Second effect pregnancy hormones, emotions. You’ve just had a baby so you’re very emotional. It’s another thing to contend with just crying randomly at anything.

‘Seeing Phillip holding the baby. Crying.

‘Number three, lack of sleep. Everyone warns you before get the sleep now. You take everything with a pinch of sleep. You won’t sleep at all really the first week, it’s almost impossible

‘Our child likes to cry, loud. It makes you feel disappointed in yourself: ‘Oh my goodness am I doing something wrong?’ The sleep is really tricky.’
