Bachelorette sisters Elly and Becky Miles reveal they weren’t close for years growing up – but one moment changed everything

The sisters appear thick as thieves as they both search for love on their upcoming dual season of The Bachelorette.

But Elly, 26, and Becky Miles, 30, claim they haven’t always had a great relationship.

The siblings have agreed that while they weren’t exactly close growing up, one moment changed things between them.

‘Beck and I actually didn’t get along for quite a number of years,’ Elly confessed on Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley’s Life Uncut podcast.

‘She was the cooler older sister and I really just wanted to hang out with her and she was like “I don’t want this chubby little tomboy anywhere near me”,’ Elly claimed.

When asked by Bachelor star Laura what happened to make their bond stronger, the sisters joked that it was underage drinking. 

‘It was probably when you [Becky] got me drunk when I was 12, and could no longer dob you in,’ Elly joked.

Having wrapped filming their season of The Bachelorette, the siblings were happy to confirm they’re both still dating their respective winners.

Elly and Becky told Who Magazine on Thursday that they were prepared for one sister to leave the show without a partner, but were pleasantly surprised to have both found love. 

‘Yes we have [both found love]. I’m so happy right now for myself and for Bec. Her guy is the best, I love him – for her,’ she said.

In trailers for their red carpet debut, some of the men appeared confused by the prospect of two Bachelorettes.

When Elly clarified they were ‘looking for one guy… each’, contestant Ab Sow let out a sigh of relief and said: ‘Oh, phew, I was going to say!’
